Job Summary

The Director of Corporate Engagement will contribute to the Corporate Partnership team by developing new corporate partnerships that provide a significant number of internships for the students we serve and generate additional revenue for the organization.

About the Role

Reporting to the Executive Director of Genesys Works New York City, the Director of Corporate Engagement will be responsible for leveraging professional networks and corporate relationships to secure C-level meetings with major employers in New York.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a plan to research prospects, secure introductions, and close new business representing five or more new corporate partnerships per year.
  • Execute market and prospect research on new potential Corporate Partners relevant to the organization.
  • Closing business will include negotiating a master services agreement, executing a statement of work, securing a purchase order, and overseeing the completion of all administrative tasks associated with onboarding a new customer.
  • Manage key relationships with corporate partners for the first 12 months of the engagement and execute successful hand-offs to account managers after the initial renewal cycle.
  • Utilize a consultative sales approach to present solutions to stakeholders and prospective partners to assist in the sales process.
  • Oversight of prospect lists, relationship mapping, and confirmation of priority initiatives.
  • Tracking, measuring, and managing corporate partners' success against metrics to maximize results and demonstrate ROI.

Requirements

The ideal candidate has at least 7-9 years of experience in sales, staffing, workforce development, or account management, preferably in a non-profit, education, or staffing organization.
