Job Description

As a key member of our team at HDJ & Associates, Inc., we are seeking an experienced Director of Communications to spearhead our communications strategy. This role is pivotal in enhancing our brand presence and serving as the primary contact with external stakeholders, including the media and marketing agencies.

This position requires someone with exceptional writing skills, proven experience handling press interactions, and a successful track record in crafting and disseminating strategic content.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Communication Strategies: Align corporate goals with effective external stakeholder engagement, media relations, and public communication.
  • Liaise with Marketing Agencies: Ensure seamless communication and project execution.
  • Build Media Relationships: Coordinate press releases, manage company interactions, and maintain relationships with key media outlets.
  • Internal Messaging: Collaborate on messaging to maintain consistent communication with team members and reinforce brand alignment.
  • Content Development: Oversee high-quality written content, including press releases, public statements, and corporate reports.
  • Brand Storytelling: Support overall branding efforts through strategic storytelling and consistent messaging.
  • Alignment with Company Objectives: Work with other teams to ensure communication strategies align with broader company objectives.
Requirements
  • Minimum 8 Years' Experience: In communications roles, ideally within the tech, engineering, or energy sector.
  • Exceptional Communication Skills: Written and verbal communication skills.
  • Press Relations Experience: Proven experience with press releases, media relations, and strategic content creation.
  • Dynamism: Demonstrated agility in fast-paced environments.
  • Public Relations Experience: Exposure to managing PR for businesses of scale.
  • Experience in Publicly Traded Companies: Experience working in or managing communications within publicly traded companies.
