Veterans Disability Assessor Position

Watertown, Massachusetts, United States MRG Exams Full time

**Job Overview**

We are seeking a licensed clinical psychologist to perform medical assessments on United States veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.

In this role, you will review behavioral health records electronically and conduct comprehensive assessments in person. You will also complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) through a secure web portal.

The licensed psychologist will not make disability determinations; instead, the U.S. Veterans Administration makes all decisions based on findings recorded in the DBQs.

This is an in-person position that requires 2-3 days of work per week. The average caseload is four veterans per day.

You will be working as an independent contractor, bringing your expertise to support our mission.

Requirements

  • A Ph.D. or Psy.D. degree from an APA-accredited program/school
  • An active and unrestricted psychology license

Benefits

  • Malpractice insurance coverage provided by MRG
  • Health insurance options available

In this position, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of veterans while utilizing your skills and experience as a licensed clinical psychologist. We offer a competitive salary for this unique opportunity: $80,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on location and experience.

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to work independently, have a stable schedule, and make a positive impact on the community. If you are passionate about supporting veterans and have the necessary qualifications and experience, we encourage you to apply.
