We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team on a contract basis. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing their expertise in CT scanning technology to produce high-quality images.

About the Job

This diagnostic imaging specialist position requires a strong background in CT scanning and experience with related equipment. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and demonstrate a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate CT scanners to produce cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs, and tissue
  • Position patients for CT scans using immobilization and protective equipment as necessary
  • Set controls of the scanner, monitor equipment and patient, and make adjustments as needed
  • Assist radiologists with imaging procedures, including starting IVs and injecting contrast media if required
  • Evaluate CT scans for technical quality and collate processed images in sequence of exposure, labeling them appropriately
  • Schedule patients for procedures and assist with clerical functions
  • Charge procedures and supplies used to the patient record
  • Load and operate power injections for contrast media administration

Requirements

  • Eighteen months prior experience in a healthcare setting as a CT Technologist
  • Must be ARRT (CT) or ASRT certified
  • Most states require licensure
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Location

This diagnostic imaging specialist contract position is based in Watertown, New York. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including tax-free stipends for meals, incidental expenses, and travel.

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 per year, based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week.
