Substitute Food Service Worker Specialist

The Watertown Public Schools MA is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Substitute Food Service Worker to join our team. As a Substitute Food Service Worker, you will play a vital role in providing nutritious meals to our students.
Estimated Salary: $15 per hour
Job Description:Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with food preparation, including meal planning, ingredient ordering, and food storage.
- Preset and serve meals according to established menus and portion sizes.
- Clean kitchen equipment, work areas, and floors to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Unpack supplies, stock dry storage shelves and refrigerator shelves, and wash dishes, trays, flatware, pots, pans, utensils, and dining tables.
- Ensure adherence to food safety and facility safety guidelines.
- Perform quality control checks to ensure standards are met.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
- Able to accept instruction and work in a team environment.
- Able to communicate effectively.
- Physical ability to walk, stand, reach above shoulder level, stoop, lift, carry, bend, and pivot.
- Ability to follow direction well.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Flexible about tasks and able to multitask and maintain a high productivity level.
- Reliable.
- Capable of working full day in multi-temp environments for the entire shift without restrictions.
