Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner Intern, College of Medicine, Department of Otolaryngology

The Department of Otolaryngology at the University of Cincinnati is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) intern to join our surgical team. As an APP intern, you will have the opportunity to gain clinical hours and educational experience in the operating room, inpatient, and ambulatory settings.
Responsibilities- Evaluate and treat adult patients in a tertiary Otolaryngology practice
- Learn how to evaluate and treat patients with complex conditions, including head and neck oncology, skull base surgery, facial plastic surgery, laryngology, and airway disorders
- Participate in journal clubs, multidisciplinary meetings, temporal bone lab, and other facilities of the academic health system
- Provide comprehensive, continuous, and personalized care to patients
- Collaborate with other providers and members of the healthcare team in delivery of care
- Make appropriate referrals when needed
- Facilitate staff, patient, and family decision making using evidence-based practice
To be eligible for this position, you must have a Master's degree in nursing from an accredited nursing program or a Master's Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program. You must also have active Ohio APRN license with prescriptive authority or active Ohio Physician Assistant license with prescriptive authority.
