Nurse Practitioner, College of Medicine, Department of Dermatology

The University of Cincinnati's College of Medicine is seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our Department of Dermatology. As a key member of our team, you will provide comprehensive, continuous, and personalized patient care, including diagnosis, treatments, and consultations in an outpatient clinical setting.
Responsibilities- Perform thorough histories and physicals for complex, acute, critical, and chronically ill patients.
- Order and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic tests.
- Prescribe appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities.
- Monitor the effectiveness of interventions.
- Maintain accurate medical records.
- Collaborate with other providers and members of the healthcare team in delivery of care and make appropriate referrals when needed.
- Educate patients and families about medical conditions and treatment plans.
- Facilitate staff, patient, and family decision making using evidence-based practice.
- Participate in research and development projects.
- Participate in education of nurse practitioners, nurse practitioner students, and medical students.
- Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.
- Active Kentucky APRN license with prescriptive authority.
- Active Ohio APRN license with prescriptive authority.
- Active Board Certification in appropriate nursing specialty.
- Three (3) years nursing experience.
- One (1) year work experience as Nurse Practitioner in General Dermatology.
- Additional nursing experience in hospital or ambulatory setting.
- Additional experience as APN in hospital or ambulatory setting.
- Flexible schedule to work at various clinical sites based on department need.
