Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner Intern

The Department of Otolaryngology at the University of Cincinnati is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) intern to join our surgical team. This is a unique opportunity to gain clinical hours and educational experience in the operating room, inpatient, and ambulatory settings.
Responsibilities- Evaluate and treat adult patients in a tertiary Otolaryngology practice, inclusive of multiple subspecialties.
- Participate in journal clubs, multidisciplinary meetings, temporal bone lab, and other facilities of the academic health system.
- Provide comprehensive, continuous, and personalized care to patients, including patient/family education and participation in teaching.
- Collaborate with other providers and members of the healthcare team in delivery of care and make appropriate referrals when needed.
To be eligible for this position, applicants must have a Master's degree in nursing or a Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program. Additionally, applicants must have a minimum of three years of nursing experience or one year of experience as a Physician Assistant. Active Ohio APRN or Physician Assistant license with prescriptive authority is also required.
