Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Employment Specialist to join our team at the Aiken-Barnwell Mental Health Center. As an Employment Specialist, you will work closely with patients, employers, and community partners to provide employment services, including job placement, job coaching, and follow-along supports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out the services of the supported employment program by assisting patients in obtaining and maintaining competitive employment.
  • Maintain a direct service time (direct clinical services to patients) and ensure caseload meets supported employment fidelity requirements.
  • Directly place clients in diverse and different competitive employment based on patient's preferences, strengths, abilities, and needs.
  • Assist in job development in the local community by providing education and support to employers.
  • Carry out all phases of employment service, including intake, assessment, job placement, job coaching, and follow-along supports.
Requirements:
  • A bachelor's degree in social work, counseling, or a related human services field from an accredited university or college.
  • At least one year of professional experience in counseling and/or behavior modification programs.
  • Experience with electronic health/medical records.
  • A valid driver's license.
