Position Overview

We are looking for a part-time or full-time Board Certified/Board Eligible Physician Assistant.

Key Responsibilities

- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage both acute and chronic medical conditions in adults facing complex psychosocial challenges.

- Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and counselors to incorporate family medicine aspects into a holistic care plan, which includes behavioral health components and medication-assisted treatments.

- Enhance the organization's understanding of chronic disease management by developing medical protocols and educational materials for primary care services; provide insights to the Medical Director and Executive Director regarding the primary care needs of the population served.

- Deliver exceptional patient-centered care while promoting overall population health, ensuring responsible use of limited health resources and public funding.

- Coordinate with Project Reality partners, including specialty medical clinics and treatment programs.

- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of clinical care; ensure proper coding and billing according to established protocols; uphold detailed and compliant records in line with standards and regulations.

- Participate in professional conferences and community initiatives to educate and improve care for patients with dual diagnoses and chronic medical conditions.


Qualifications

- Active Utah PA License; current DEA license preferred.
- NCCPA Board Certification.
- Strong commitment to teamwork, with the ability to take initiative.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to effectively engage with all medical staff and patients.

- Must successfully pass and maintain DHS/BCI background screening.

- Employment status (part-time or full-time) will be determined based on the candidate's experience.
