Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Neonatal Advanced Practice Provider (NAPP) to become a vital part of our established team specializing in the care of newborns within our intensive care units. This role is essential in delivering high-quality healthcare services across various facilities.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position, where our Advanced Practice Providers typically engage in three 12-hour shifts weekly. The schedule includes rotating responsibilities across days, nights, weekends, and holidays, with potential for flexible working arrangements, including part-time options.

Key Responsibilities

As an Advanced Practice Provider, you will be responsible for delivering patient care at the highest level of your licensure. Your duties will include:

  • Promoting health and preventing disease.
  • Conducting assessments, diagnoses, treatments, and consultations.
  • Performing specialty-specific procedures and referring patients as necessary.
  • Educating patients, families, and clinical staff.
  • Prescribing medications and devices in line with established protocols.
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
  • Engaging in continuous learning to enhance patient outcomes.

Research and Development

Advanced Practice Providers may also engage in research initiatives, apply evidence-based practices to enhance patient care quality, and contribute to the development of care protocols and best practices for our patient population.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • A current state license as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA).
  • Certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or as a Physician Assistant with a minimum of one year of NICU experience.
  • Eligibility for state-controlled substance licensure and federal DEA certification.
  • BLS certification for healthcare providers.
  • Additional certifications as required (e.g., ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NRP).
