Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technician to join our team at Surgery Partners. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for performing fluoroscopic procedures, preparing patients for radiologic examinations, and operating radiologic equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform fluoroscopic procedures for patients of all age groups, adhering to professional radiology practice standards.
  • Prepare patients for radiologic examinations, including explaining procedures, removing jewelry, and positioning patients for optimal imaging.
  • Operate radiologic equipment, including stationary and portable machines, to take x-ray images of various body parts.
  • Develop, process, and maintain x-ray films, as well as prepare solutions for processing.
  • Assist in fluoroscopic work, take clinical photographs, and maintain equipment and quarters.
  • Monitor patients during procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current valid certificate as a certified Radiologic Technologist in diagnostic radiologic technology issued by the California State Department of Health Services.
  • Fluoroscopy License Required.
  • Two years of experience in radiologic techniques and methods, or successful completion of a two-year training program in radiologic technology approved by the Council on Medical Education and Hospitals of the American Medical Association.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of email systems, such as Microsoft Outlook, sufficient to communicate with internal and external contacts.
  • Knowledge of Word and Excel sufficient to create simple documents and reports.
  • Knowledge of WebMD and Intergy system sufficient to perform review and data entry.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities, remain calm under pressure, and multitask while maintaining attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be able to work individually or as part of a team, communicate effectively, and use computer keyboard and view a computer monitor.
