Job Summary

As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist at American Family Care Anaheim, you will play a vital role in assisting physicians in diagnosing injuries and diseases by performing radiographic and other diagnostic imaging procedures. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the highest quality images for accurate diagnoses.

Responsibilities
  • Greet patients and explain procedures in a compassionate manner, providing a positive experience from the start.
  • Position patients appropriately for diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Practice ALARA radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Process images, review for proper identification and quality control, and prepare images for reading by a physician and radiologist overreads.
  • Utilize both digital and non-digital diagnostic imaging equipment, adhering to approved radiology techniques and policies.
  • Aid providers with prescribed patient treatments, following approved standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform routine maintenance, diagnose malfunctions, and make minor repairs on equipment, arranging for repairs as needed.
  • Complete forms and maintain records, logs, and reports of work performed.
  • Serve as a Medical Receptionist and/or Medical Assistant when needed, within established guidelines.
Qualifications

A Limited X-Ray Tech with a strong foundation in diagnostic imaging procedures and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
