Key Responsibilities:
- Perform fluoroscopic procedures for patients of all age groups, adhering to professional radiology practice standards.
- Prepare patients for radiologic examinations, explaining the procedure and ensuring patient safety.
- Operate radiologic equipment, positioning patients for optimal imaging results.
- Develop and process x-ray films, maintaining accurate records and files.
- Assist in fluoroscopic work, taking clinical photographs and identifying images as needed.
- Monitor patients during procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Maintain equipment and quarters, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Current valid certificate as a certified Radiologic Technologist in diagnostic radiologic technology issued by the California State Department of Health Services.
- Fluoroscopy License Required.
- Two years of experience in radiologic techniques and methods, under an accredited medical radiologist.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of email systems, such as Microsoft Outlook, sufficient to communicate with internal and external contacts.
- Knowledge of Word and Excel sufficient to create simple documents and reports.
- Knowledge of WebMD and Intergy system sufficient to perform review and data entry.
Working Conditions:
- Normal busy office environment with much telephone work.
- Occasional evening and/or weekend work.
Physical/Mental Demands:
- Ability to be on your feet for long periods and lift or turn disabled patients.
- Requires sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment.
- Ability to concentrate for periods of up to four hours.
- Ability to communicate verbally both in person and on the telephone.
Environmental/Working Conditions:
- Normal busy office environment with much telephone work.
- Occasional evening and/or weekend work.
