We have an immediate opening for a Staff Accountant at our headquarters. This role is responsible for a mix of financial reporting, data analysis, and process improvement. Here's a breakdown of key responsibilities and qualifications for this position:

Responsibilities:
  • Financial Close Participation: Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations during the monthly close process.
  • Accounts Receivable Reporting: Assist with generating monthly accounts receivable reports to ensure accurate tracking of receivables.
  • Audit Support: Prepare schedules and analyses required for quarterly reviews and year-end financial and FAR audits.
  • Payroll Processing: Provide assistance with payroll processing tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax requirements.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Use financial software and Excel for data analysis and generating reports.
  • Software Upgrades: Assist with implementing upgrades to financial software systems.
  • Process Improvements: Identify areas for efficiency improvements in accounting processes and help establish new accounting policies and procedures.
  • Other Duties: Handle additional accounting tasks and projects as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
  • Degree Requirements: Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 3 years in a general accounting role or similar.
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of accounting regulations and procedures.
  • Familiarity with:
    • Financial systems and advanced Excel capabilities (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities.
