Senior Software Development Engineer, EKS Anywhere

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Development Engineer to join our EKS Anywhere team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable and reliable software systems that enable our customers to run containers successfully anywhere.
As a Senior Software Development Engineer, you will work closely with our team to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet the needs of our customers. You will be responsible for leading design and architecture efforts, mentoring junior engineers, and contributing to the growth and development of our team.
Responsibilities- Design and develop scalable and reliable software systems that enable our customers to run containers successfully anywhere.
- Lead design and architecture efforts to ensure that our software systems meet the needs of our customers.
- Mentor junior engineers to help them grow and develop their skills.
- Contribute to the growth and development of our team by sharing knowledge and expertise.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that our software systems meet the needs of our customers.
- 7+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 7+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
- 7+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.
- 7+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Development experience with Golang.
- Experience with at least one of the following: Kubernetes, Mesos, Docker, etcd. Experience with Rancher, Openshift or other container orchestration platforms.
- Experience with design/architecting largescale distributed systems preferably using AWS technologies.
- Experience with container networking.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $151,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $261,500/year in our highest geographic market.
Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
