**Business Development Manager**

At Spark Talent Acquisition, Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and expansion through strategic account management and sales initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within assigned accounts.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to drive profitable growth and expansion of existing clients.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities and stay ahead of industry trends.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive outreach and engagement.
  • Develop and deliver business development presentations, negotiate, and close business with nominated accounts.
  • Provide leadership and representation to the public, customers, vendors, and employees through professional organizations, company project teams, and employee meetings.
  • Prepare and present sales reports and presentations to stakeholders, highlighting sales volume, sector, region, location, and potential sales.
  • Follow up on quotations and ensure timely resolution of customer inquiries.
  • Achieve sales goals by converting, retaining, and penetrating accounts.
  • Collaborate with other sales roles and utilize technical support to maximize sales in the territory.
  • Lead the sales process, including qualifying, relationship building, needs evaluation, solution development/presentation, and closing.
  • Identify full customer needs to uncover additional opportunities within accounts.
  • Utilize CRM to record activities, ensure accurate contact details, remove duplicates, add new information, and enter accurate call/visit logs.
  • Participate in regular pipeline reviews, ensuring all CRM records are up-to-date and critical success factors are identified for key opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of service offerings and participate in training/coaching opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with all policies, including Terms and Conditions, trade compliance, treatment of others, moral code of conduct, and employee handbook.
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable laws pertaining to safety, environment, and corporate governance.
Requirements:
  • 5 years of sales experience and responsibilities.
  • Bachelor's of Science (Engineering) preferred, but other four-year degrees will be considered.
  • Previous experience selling Pharmaceutical and Microbiology Testing is a plus.
  • Experience in interpreting testing procedures and requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Applications (Dynamics AX and CRM, Word, Excel).
  • Availability, flexibility, and maturity to represent the company at various events, projects, and with customers.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills to meet various communication needs.
  • Good interpersonal skills that foster open, upward, and downward communication built on mutual respect.
  • Ability to interface with clients, win new work, and determine their requirements.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, with some overnight travel required.
