Job Title: Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer

We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer to join our team at Pediatrix Medical Group. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound examinations on pediatric patients, working closely with our board-certified pediatric cardiologists to provide comprehensive care.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations on pediatric patients, including fetal echocardiography
  • Work closely with pediatric cardiologists to provide comprehensive care and interpret ultrasound results
  • Prepare patients for ultrasound examinations and explain procedures to ensure cooperation and optimum test results
  • Conduct ultrasonic diagnostic procedures and record anatomical, pathological, and physiological data for interpretation by a physician
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines
  • Code appropriately for services performed and submit completed billing worksheets daily
Requirements:
  • Minimum six months experience as an ultrasound technician working in pediatric and/or adult echocardiography setting
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • Skilled in operating ultrasound equipment and maintaining proper operation of equipment
  • Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
  • Possess or be eligible for certification in adult and/or pediatric echocardiography through American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
