Job Summary

Denver Health Medical Center is seeking a skilled Maternal Fetal Medicine Physician to join our esteemed Ob/Gyn team. As a key member of our department, you will provide specialized obstetric care to pregnant patients and fetuses who are considered moderate to high-risk, from conception through the post-partum period.

Responsibilities
  • Provide consultation to physicians and advance practice providers (CNM, NP) who care for pregnant patients in the Denver health network.
  • Care for and treat women during prenatal, natal, and postnatal periods.
  • Perform cesarean sections or other surgical procedures as needed to preserve patients' health and deliver babies safely.
  • Participate in or support education and research.
Requirements
  • Doctorate Degree Graduate of an accredited medical school Required
  • Post Graduate Diploma or Certificate Program ABOG certified Obstetrics and Gynecology Required and
  • Post Graduate Diploma or Certificate Program ABOG board-eligible or certified Maternal fetal Medicine Required
Work Experience
  • 1-3 years Directly related experience
Licenses
  • OBGYN-Obstetrics and Gynecology Certification - AAFP - American Academy of Family Physicians Required and
  • MD-Physician - State Medical Board Required
  • BLS-Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) - AHA - American Heart Association Required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures and techniques.
  • Thorough knowledge of pharmacological agents used in patient treatment.
  • Able to effectively manage and direct medical staff support activities while providing quality medical care.
  • Able to receive detailed information through oral communications; express or exchange ideas by verbal communications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications, listening, and social skills.
  • Able to interact effectively with people of varied educational, socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds, skill levels and value systems.
  • Performs in a tactful and professional manner.
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Computer skills required.
