Critical Incident Responder Job Summary
Community Passageways is seeking a skilled Critical Incident Responder to provide on-scene support at violent incidents. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of crowd control, de-escalation techniques, and conflict resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide immediate support at violent incidents, prioritizing safety and de-escalation.
- Collaborate with the Community Safety Team to develop 24, 48, and 72 hour emergency safety plans.
- Participate in team debriefs to support individuals impacted by gun violence.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community members, partners, and stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date on community dynamics, crime patterns, and emerging trends.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of crowd control, de-escalation techniques, and conflict resolution.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Basic knowledge of mainstream office software.
Working Conditions:
- Community Passageways offices located in Seattle, WA (South End and Central District)
- Out on the field
- Remotely (Zoom/Google meet, text messaging, phone calls from home or a location where you can work from)
