Critical Incident Responder Job Summary

Community Passageways is seeking a skilled Critical Incident Responder to provide on-scene support at violent incidents. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of crowd control, de-escalation techniques, and conflict resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide immediate support at violent incidents, prioritizing safety and de-escalation.
  • Collaborate with the Community Safety Team to develop 24, 48, and 72 hour emergency safety plans.
  • Participate in team debriefs to support individuals impacted by gun violence.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community members, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date on community dynamics, crime patterns, and emerging trends.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of crowd control, de-escalation techniques, and conflict resolution.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic knowledge of mainstream office software.

Working Conditions:

  • Community Passageways offices located in Seattle, WA (South End and Central District)
  • Out on the field
  • Remotely (Zoom/Google meet, text messaging, phone calls from home or a location where you can work from)
