Role Summary:
The Medical Assistant 2 serves as the initial point of contact for patient services, undertaking both administrative responsibilities and direct patient care. This role encompasses a variety of tasks and moderately complex operational support assignments, requiring a blend of clinical and administrative skills.

Work Schedule:
Full Time / 40 Hours

Operational Hours:
Monday to Friday / 8 AM to 5 PM

This role involves supporting CenterWell Primary Care Anywhere, which delivers in-home primary care services to patients. The position requires both on-site and field-based work expectations.

On-site Work:
When required to work on-site, the location will be determined based on operational needs.

Field Responsibilities:
In the field, the Medical Assistant will assist healthcare providers with primary care house calls, performing essential tasks such as:
1. Phlebotomy
2. Vital sign assessments
3. Initial patient work-ups

Travel may include servicing various local areas, and mileage reimbursement will be provided.

Clinical Duties:
The Medical Assistant 2 will engage in clinical responsibilities, including:
- Discussing patient symptoms
- Collecting and inputting data into electronic medical records
- Administering injections and performing diagnostic tests
- Collecting specimens and maintaining examination areas

Collaboration with physicians and nursing staff is crucial, as well as delivering direct patient care within the scope of certification. This role requires adherence to defined policies while allowing for some discretion in prioritizing tasks.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1-3 years of experience in a back office medical setting
- Active certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) from recognized organizations
- Willingness to obtain phlebotomy certification within 6 months if not already certified
- Reliable transportation and a clean driving record
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Strong communication skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMRs)

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual capabilities
- Experience with HEDIS measures
- Background in Primary Care, Urgent Care, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine

The salary range reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full-time employment. Individual pay may vary based on experience and qualifications.
