About the Role

STS Technical Services is seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Maintenance Technician to join our team at our Orlando, FL line maintenance station. As an Aviation Maintenance Professional, you will play a critical role in ensuring the airworthiness of our aircraft and providing top-level service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Report directly to the Line Maintenance Station Manager and Station Leads.
  • Collaborate with field airlines, flight crews, and Aircraft Maintenance Controllers to ensure seamless maintenance operations.
  • Inspect, test, troubleshoot, adjust, and repair various transport category aircraft airframes and engines using hand tools and test equipment.
  • Maintain the highest level of quality and integrity in all maintenance activities.
  • Adjust, repair, or replace defective components based on analysis of test results while following maintenance manuals, schematics, handbooks, and other technical documentation.
  • Use precision instruments and equipment to measure parts for wear and repair or replace as required.
  • Perform other duties as deemed necessary to support the maintenance operations.
Requirements
  • Must hold a current and valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification with no history of infractions.
  • Recent A&P experience on turbine-powered aircraft is a plus.
  • Previous experience on commercial and large regional aircraft is strongly preferred, but not required.
  • Own set of standard line maintenance tools (calibrated & specialty tooling will be provided).
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude and able to perform tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work standing, climb ladders and stairs, and lift 50 lbs. unassisted.
  • Must pass a background check and drug & alcohol test. Must also obtain customs & border patrol clearance.
  • Basic-to-mid-level computer and organizational skills.
  • Experience working under an FAA approved Part 145 repair station or Part 135 experience is highly desired.
  • Inspection Authorization (IA) license is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and specifications.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair systems on aircraft airframes and engines, including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Versatility and flexibility with the ability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Superior customer focus, communication skills, and work ethic with a commitment to excellence.
