The Advanced Imaging Research Center is on the lookout for a dedicated Research Scientist to join our innovative team. Our focus is on pioneering novel quantitative MRI methodologies and analytical techniques tailored for the central nervous system and musculoskeletal research.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and refine high-resolution MRI acquisition and analysis techniques, including diffusion, perfusion, and quantitative susceptibility mapping (QSM).
  • Validate MRI results through conventional histological methods and advanced 3D Light-sheet Microscopy (LSM).
  • Utilize high-resolution MRI techniques to investigate neurodegenerative disorders.
  • Implement machine learning and deep learning strategies for imaging segmentation, registration, and classification.
  • Compile, author, and submit research findings for publication.
  • Assist in the preparation of research papers, reports, and abstracts.
  • Oversee and mentor laboratory technicians and personnel in laboratory practices and safety protocols.
  • Engage with external stakeholders regarding research progress and outcomes.
  • Initiate and manage innovative projects aligned with the laboratory's objectives.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Ph.D. in a relevant field with a minimum of five years of research experience, including two years at a senior research associate level, or
  • A Master's degree with seven years of research experience, including three years at a senior research associate level, or
  • A Bachelor's degree with nine years of research experience, including four years at a senior research associate level.

Job Duties

  • Plan, organize, and lead scientific or medical research projects.
  • Select and mentor key research personnel.
  • Establish specific research goals and oversee the work of team members.
  • Analyze and interpret research data to inform project direction.
  • Adapt methodologies based on research findings.
  • Prepare research results for submission to supervisors and for publication.
  • Design and develop experimental equipment as needed.
  • Supervise training for laboratory staff on techniques and safety procedures.
  • Collaborate with external organizations regarding research initiatives.
