Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and refine high-resolution MRI acquisition and analysis techniques.
  • Validate imaging results through traditional histological methods and advanced microscopy.
  • Utilize high-resolution MRI methodologies to investigate neurodegenerative conditions.
  • Implement machine learning and deep learning approaches for image segmentation, registration, and classification.
  • Document and publish research findings in reputable journals.
  • Assist in the preparation of research papers, reports, and abstracts.
  • Oversee and mentor laboratory technicians and personnel in laboratory practices and safety protocols.
  • Engage with external stakeholders regarding research progress and outcomes.
  • Initiate and manage innovative projects aligned with laboratory objectives.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Ph.D. in a relevant field with a minimum of five years of research experience, including two years in a senior role, or
  • A Master's degree with seven years of relevant experience, including three years in a senior capacity, or
  • A Bachelor's degree with nine years of relevant experience, including four years in a senior role.

Job Duties

  • Plan, organize, and direct scientific research projects.
  • Select and manage key research personnel.
  • Establish specific objectives and oversee the work of team members.
  • Analyze research data and adjust methodologies as necessary.
  • Compile and submit research results to supervisory staff.
  • Contribute to the preparation of research publications as a co-author.
  • Design and adapt experimental equipment to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Train laboratory staff in proper techniques and safety measures.
  • Collaborate with external groups on research project developments.
