We invite applications from Physical Therapists with expertise in pelvic floor rehabilitation.

Role Summary –

The Rehabilitation Specialist plays a crucial role within the patient care team, delivering physical therapy services while being responsible for the assessment, treatment, and education of patients, along with meticulous documentation of care provided. This role also includes overseeing the activities of physical therapy assistants, aides, students, and athletic trainers, as well as contributing to educational and research initiatives within the department or healthcare facility.

PRIMARY DUTIES –

Key responsibilities include:

· Thoroughly documenting patient evaluations, treatments, progress, and discharges in a timely manner using electronic medical records (EMR).

· Maintaining patient records in a comprehensive and legally compliant manner, adhering to local, state, and federal regulations, as well as hospital policies.

· Ensuring billing aligns with documented patient treatments and assisting in tracking individual insurance requirements in accordance with proper billing practices.

· Supervising the activities of physical therapy assistants, aides, athletic trainers, and/or students in relation to patient care.

· Meeting the clinic's established productivity standards for patient care.

· Providing physical therapy services to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, applying principles of growth, development, and life stages.

· Actively engaging in performance evaluations.

· Participating in team meetings.

Occasional but essential responsibilities include:

· Referring to or communicating with primary care providers and/or referring providers regarding patient concerns as necessary.

· Collaborating with vendors to facilitate patient equipment needs.

· Maintaining necessary certifications and licenses for patient care.

· Engaging in continuing education seminars, departmental in-services, safety training, and other educational opportunities within the healthcare community.

· Minimum of one (1) year of experience in an outpatient rehabilitation environment.

· Clinical expertise in a specific area of interest.

Licenses, Certifications, and/or Registrations:

· Current unencumbered physical therapy license in the state of Oregon or ability to obtain prior to hire.

· American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS preferred upon hire or required within the first 90 days.

· Demonstrates proficiency in the operation, maintenance, and use of all therapeutic equipment available in the specific care area.

· Prioritizes patient care effectively, coordinating duties and clinic resources.

· Employs protective equipment, infection control measures, and proper disposal of hazardous waste to ensure personal safety.

· Establishes clinical and professional relationships with primary care providers, patients, and their families.

· Actively contributes to patient/customer satisfaction.
