Job Overview

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

This is an entry-level role focused on conducting essential counterfeit laboratory assessments and visual evaluations of a variety of products, including but not limited to, electromechanical devices, electrical components, and aircraft hardware. The individual in this position is entrusted with the authority to execute assigned responsibilities effectively.

KEY TASKS

  • Conduct visual and dimensional assessments of all incoming products, along with the associated documentation received at Triman Industries Inc.
  • Perform comprehensive analyses on all Electrical and Electronic Equipment (EEE) within the laboratory.
  • Learn and operate all testing apparatus within the laboratory department.
  • Prepare and finalize all necessary documentation for reporting the acceptance or rejection of inspected and/or tested items.
  • Identify nonconformities and provide relevant data to the Quality Manager.
  • Effectively communicate, document, and report all nonconformities within the internal system and to the direct supervisor.
  • Execute tasks as directed by senior management.
  • Ensure the completion of daily responsibilities and priority inspections, guaranteeing all stock evaluations are finalized for the day.
  • Understand industry traceability and documentation requirements pertinent to each sector.
  • Evaluate and distinguish between various types of commodities.
  • Review and implement detailed inspection reports that encompass all information regarding product testing and evaluations.
  • Utilize general inspection tools, such as calipers and micrometers.
  • Interpret basic blueprints, data sheets, and technical specifications.
  • Verify product fit, form, and function using appropriate gauges to ensure conformity.
  • Conduct First Article Inspections in accordance with AS9102 and customer specifications.
  • Utilize appropriate tools and equipment for conducting Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) for inspection reports.
  • Complete AS9102 or equivalent reports for all First Articles and Source Inspections.

STANDARD REQUIREMENTS

Adhere to all requirements of International Standards such as ISO9001 and ISO27001, as well as NIST and CMMC Cyber Security and Information Data Security Requirements. Comply with Aerospace Management System Standards including AS9100, AS9120, and IDEA-QMS-9090, along with supporting standards.

METRICS AND PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

  • Daily throughput of inspections and laboratory steps completed
  • Detection of quality issues (Incoming Non-Conformance Material)
  • Outgoing quality metrics (customer escapes)
  • Implementation of IDEA certification knowledge
  • Timely completion of FAIR using GD&T and FAI knowledge
  • Effective communication of issues
  • Adherence to daily 6S/ESD/FOD policies
  • Ability to locate datasheets and drawings within Triman Systems
  • Diversity in inspections across various categories
  • Achievement of CQI certification

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / COMPETENCIES

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 1 year of experience in manufacturing or quality assurance is advantageous but not mandatory
  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, is essential
  • Good arithmetic skills are necessary
  • Mechanical aptitude is preferred
  • Familiarity with measurement instruments such as calipers is required
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word is expected
  • Completion of IDEA-ICE-3000 Certification within 6 months of employment is required.
  • Able to pass internal assessments and training to meet company standards
  • Must meet acceptable vision requirements.
