Position Overview:
Our client, Solomon Page, is seeking a qualified individual to take on the role of Staff Accountant. This position offers a hybrid work model.

Compensation: $60,000 - $70,000, commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the completion of month-end financial closing activities.
  • Prepare journal entries while ensuring adequate documentation is maintained.
  • Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
  • Perform General Ledger analysis and reconcile accounts.
  • Manage all facets of Accounts Payable, including:
    • Onboarding new vendors.
    • Securing approvals for invoices.
    • General ledger coding for invoices.
    • Inputting invoices into accounting software.
    • Generating checks and EFT files.
    • Organizing and filing invoices.
    • Preparing annual 1099 forms.
  • Complete annual reports and surveys as required.
  • Identify and document opportunities for process improvements.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting (BBA or BS).
  • 2-4 years of experience in Public or Private Accounting.
  • Experience with general ledger closing, including journal entry preparation and balance sheet account analysis.
  • Proficient in preparing bank reconciliations.
  • Experience in implementing or utilizing software to enhance processes and efficiency.
  • Strong Excel skills, including VLook-up and Pivot tables.
