Job Summary

The Quality Control Manager will be responsible for ensuring the verification of outbound product quality, product traceability, and other critical label and packaging information. This role will initiate and lead the development of methods to improve product quality, supporting company efforts to achieve SQF and other industry certifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement quality control processes, procedures, and policies to ensure that products or services meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Monitor and analyze data related to quality control processes, identifying trends, and making recommendations for improvement.
  • Assist with review of product specifications and communication of changes to other departments.
  • Actively enforce all company policies regarding traceability and compliance.
  • Ensure all products meet or exceed Mastronardi specifications and customer specifications.
  • Evaluate and escalate quality issues to relevant parties to ensure corrective action.
  • Develop teamwork and a positive work environment among direct reports, between shifts, and throughout the organization.
  • Collaborate with the Food Safety department on product-related issues.
  • Manage non-conformances and partner with Category/Commodity management on product disposition.
  • Train and mentor team members on quality expectations and product usage.
Requirements
  • College degree or minimum of five years of experience in the quality field.
  • Self-starter with ability to work flexible hours, including rotational shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Proficiency in English language with effective communication skills.
  • Highly proficient in computer-use skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with ability to work creatively and accurately under pressure.
  • Ability to effectively follow-up and handle multiple projects with strong personal time-management skills.
  • Confidentiality and proprietary information protection.
Working Conditions
  • Work environment includes an expansive refrigerated warehouse with a constant temperature of 55 degrees (except office areas) and background noise levels approaching 70 decibels.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
