Health Sciences Clinical Instructor Spine Surgery Position

The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of California, Irvine is seeking a highly qualified candidate for a Clinical Instructor position in the specialty of spine surgery. This is a fellowship opportunity with a 100% appointment in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. A California medical license is required for appointment as Clinical Instructor. The successful candidate will be expected to take part in teaching and research of spine surgery to residents, graduate students, and medical students.
Responsibilities
The Clinical Instructor will be responsible for teaching and mentoring residents, graduate students, and medical students in the specialty of spine surgery. The candidate will also be expected to participate in research projects and contribute to the development of educational programs in spine surgery. The Clinical Instructor will work closely with the faculty members of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery to achieve the department's goals and objectives.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will hold a M.D. degree and be board eligible/certified in Orthopaedic Surgery with specialization in Spine Surgery. The candidate must also have a California medical license. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
