Research Coordinator I

Job Summary
Houston Methodist is seeking a highly skilled Research Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day activities of research protocols, assessing and determining patient qualification for research studies, and ensuring accurate data collection and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct screening and interviews to evaluate patient eligibility in study
- Promote a positive work environment and contribute to a dynamic, team-focused work unit
- Collaborate with the patient care team by actively communicating and reporting pertinent information
- Provide contributions towards improvement of department scores for employee engagement
Additional Responsibilities
- Respond to customer complaints, inquiries, and requests for information
- Schedule research subject appointments for tests and procedures
- Compile patient information and enter accurate data in Source Documents, Case Report Forms, and Electronic Data Capture portals
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Two years' research experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Sufficient proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing the English language
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, physicians, family members, and co-workers
