Job Summary

Houston Methodist Academic Institute is seeking a highly skilled Research Coordinator II to join our team. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day activities of research protocols, assessing and determining patient qualification for research studies, and ensuring accurate data collection and documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate research protocols, including drafting communications with sponsors and regulatory documents.
  • Recruit and monitor clinical research subjects, identifying and addressing enrollment goals.
  • Conduct in-services for floor nurses and physicians, assist in precepting new clinical research staff, and educate peers on scientific aspects of studies.
  • Teach peers to critically think and follow up consistently, promoting departmental improvement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Four years of research experience.
  • CCRC or CCRP certification within one year.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to work independently and handle challenging situations.
  • Demonstrated sound judgment and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Work Environment

This role is based in Houston, Texas, and may require travel within the metropolitan area.
