Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and clinical support to our healthcare team, including preparing patients for exams, taking vital signs, and performing basic laboratory tests.
  • Assist with minor procedures, such as injections and wound care, under the supervision of a licensed healthcare professional.
  • Process laboratory specimens, operate medical equipment, and maintain accurate patient records.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction and outcomes.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a medical assisting program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; American Heart Association (AHA) certification preferred.
  • Medical terminology, communication skills, and basic computer knowledge required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous medical assisting experience in a physician's office or hospital outpatient department.
  • AAMA (American Association of Medical Assisting), CCMA (National Health Career Association), or RMA (American Medical Technologists) certification preferred.
