About the Role:
Fairview Range is seeking a skilled Mental Health Practitioner to join our inpatient Behavioral Health Department in Hibbing, MN. As a Mental Health Practitioner, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment under the direction and supervision of the Behavioral Health Director and the Behavioral Health Service Line Social Worker Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide group and individual therapy to patients on the acute unit under the supervision of a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW).
- Assist and observe patients on the unit to ensure the goals and objectives of treatment are achieved.
- Develop and implement therapeutic plans and activities that promote patient well-being and recovery.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and support to patients and their families.
Requirements:
- Four-year degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
- BCS certification (current or within 3 months of employment) and maintains certification.
- BLS certification (current or within 6 months of employment) and maintains certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
- One year of Mental Health experience.
- One or more years of previous psychiatric patient care experience and group experience.
- MHP certification or eligibility within the first 2,000 hours or four years of employment.
