Position Overview:

The Bread Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the bread-baking division at WINNER. This role entails managing daily activities, ensuring product quality and consistency, and expanding our wholesale offerings. The Bread Production Manager will lead a team of bakers, collaborate with various departments, and drive the success of our bread products across all locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Operational Oversight:
  • Manage the daily functions of the bread-baking division.
  • Ensure adherence to all baking protocols and procedures.
  • Uphold high standards of quality and consistency for all bread items.
Team Management:
  • Recruit, train, and supervise a team of bakers.
  • Schedule and delegate tasks to baking staff, ensuring efficient operations.
  • Encourage a positive and productive workplace, fostering teamwork and professional growth.
Production Coordination:
  • Plan and organize daily and weekly production schedules to meet the needs of WINNER locations and wholesale clients.
  • Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and finished goods, ensuring timely procurement and restocking.
  • Implement and manage quality control processes to maintain product standards.
Wholesale Program Development:
  • Enhance and grow the wholesale bread program, identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with wholesale clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
  • Coordinate production and delivery schedules for wholesale orders.
Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with other department leaders to ensure seamless operations across all WINNER locations.
  • Regularly communicate with upper management regarding production status, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Provide feedback and insights to enhance processes, products, and overall business performance.
Compliance and Safety:
  • Ensure adherence to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following sanitation standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety protocols.
Innovation and Improvement:
  • Stay informed on industry trends and incorporate new techniques and recipes as appropriate.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to enhance efficiency, product quality, and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications & Character:
  • Demonstrated experience in bread baking.
  • At least 3 years of experience managing baking operations.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in food production.
  • Experience in wholesale operations and client relationship management is advantageous.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Strong communication skills in English and interpersonal abilities.
  • Commitment to promoting the WINNER brand and ethos.
  • Ability to converse in or understand Spanish is a plus.
Work Environment:
  • Primarily in a bakery setting with exposure to high temperatures and baking equipment.
  • Physical demands include standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 lbs., and handling bakery products and equipment.
