Job Summary:

The Data Entry Specialist will support the 24/7 operation by verifying data, entering, tracking, and updating information related to the transfer of unaccompanied children (UC) and family units (FAMUs). This role requires strong computer skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate data entry and timely completion of tasks.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Enter and update information in the government database (EADM) to capture relevant details about UC and FAMU transfers.
  • Daily data entry on transportation activities using the Transport Log (spreadsheet) in SharePoint.
  • Review correspondence from Command Center to stay informed about operational updates.
  • Monitor camera surveillance for site and van compliance.
  • Maintain professional communication with clients, coworkers, and managers.
  • Able to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Collect and review government forms for each trip, including time of pick-up, destination, hotel stay, and drop-off time, and enter information accurately in company systems.
  • Correct errors in incomplete records and verify that minors and family units are booked into the correct shelter location.
  • Review ORR facility designations in client records and check the UC portal for updates.
  • Answer calls, address questions and concerns, and provide knowledgeable responses to general inquiries.
  • Maintain professional standards as prescribed by MVM's program.
  • Verify final entries for each record in EARM and close cases once transferred to shelter staff or Country Immigration Officials.
  • Comply with agency and program policies and protocols.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Possess an associate degree in an appropriate discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Have at least two years of experience working with computers, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in MS Excel and Word.
  • Ability to learn internal company systems and software.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with different departments and clients.
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and balance multiple tasks.
  • Attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Possess a valid driver's license.

Work Schedule:

This position requires flexibility to support a 24/7/365-day operation, including nights, weekends, holidays, and graveyard shifts.

Salary:

$45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience.
