We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sales Manager to join our team at the Columbia Gorge Hotel & Spa in Hood River, OR. The successful candidate will be responsible for booking and executing all weddings and social events, maximizing revenue in rooms, public space, food, and beverage, and ensuring exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Book and execute all weddings and social events, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional customer service.
- Maximize revenue in rooms, public space, food, and beverage, through effective sales and marketing strategies.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful event execution.
- Prepare and present proposals, contracts, and event details to clients, ensuring accurate and timely communication.
- Coordinate with internal departments, including food and beverage, housekeeping, and maintenance, to ensure seamless event execution.
- Monitor and analyze sales and catering statistics to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
- Participate in sales and marketing initiatives to promote the hotel's services and products.
- Perform administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and record-keeping, to ensure accurate and efficient event management.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in sales, catering, or event planning.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
- Knowledge of restaurant and hotel operations, including banquet facilities, audio-visual equipment, and room capacities.
- Working knowledge of Windows, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to produce a valid driver's license.
- Ability to work well under pressure, with a minimum of supervision.
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance and communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.
