Key Responsibilities:
  • Cooking and Food Preparation: Assist the Executive Chef in preparing and cooking food according to approved recipes and production standards, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Supervision and Leadership: Supervise and lead a team of hourly food service associates, including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, and recommending disciplinary action as needed.
  • Food Safety and Sanitation: Ensure proper food handling, presentation, portion control, and maintenance of serving temperatures, while maintaining a clean and sanitized kitchen environment.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory, tracking product production, consumption, and waste, and inform the Executive Chef when supplies or product are low.
  • Customer Service: Interact with customers to resolve complaints in a friendly and service-oriented manner, relaying relevant information to the Executive Chef.
Requirements:
  • Previous Experience: Previous fine dining experience required.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and train a team.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Food Safety and Sanitation: Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures, with the ability to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
