Job Summary
MEDSTAR HEALTH is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapy Specialist to support our respiratory care team. This role involves non-patient care duties such as cleaning and maintaining ventilators, general equipment used by the department, and other related tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cleans and processes instrumentation between procedures, adhering to established protocols.
  • Evaluates equipment functionality and performs necessary maintenance.
  • Dismantles and reassembles department equipment, ensuring proper operation.
  • Cleans equipment and parts according to established protocols.
  • Acquires and delivers instrumentation and supplies to designated areas.
  • Maintains stock levels of supplies, including sterile and disposable items, for various locations within the hospital.

Requirements:
  • Vocational/Technical Diploma enrollment in a COARC-approved Respiratory Therapy program or Associate's degree enrollment in a COARC-approved Respiratory Therapy program.
  • CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

  • Competitive salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, based on experience.
