Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Johns Hopkins Howard County Medical Center. As a cardiopulmonary specialist, you will be responsible for assessing and recommending interventions for patients with complex respiratory issues.

About the Role:

As a member of our multidisciplinary healthcare team, you will work collaboratively to implement tailored care plans for patients requiring invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation. Your expertise in administering diverse therapies, including medical gas, humidity, aerosol, and hyperinflation, will play a critical role in ensuring patient comfort and optimal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess patient needs and develop comprehensive treatment plans
  • Administer various respiratory therapies as prescribed by physicians
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary

Required Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree in Respiratory Care from a COARC-accredited program
  • Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Care preferred
  • Maryland State License required
  • CPR Certification and BLS required
  • ACLS preferred
