Job Overview

We are in search of a committed and knowledgeable Construction Project Coordinator to manage and oversee construction projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership abilities, a comprehensive understanding of project management methodologies, and the capacity to build effective relationships with all stakeholders involved. This position demands outstanding organizational skills and the capability to propel projects forward while ensuring adherence to quality standards and compliance regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning:

  • Formulate detailed project plans encompassing scope, timeline, and budget considerations.
  • Conduct thorough feasibility assessments and site evaluations to identify potential obstacles.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to establish project specifications and requirements.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project schedules, pinpointing critical milestones and deliverables.
  • Negotiate contracts and cultivate relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and service providers.

2. Project Execution:

  • Supervise daily operations on construction sites to ensure alignment with project plans, safety protocols, and regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and external parties to guarantee timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Track project progress and performance, making necessary adjustments to remain on schedule and within budget.
  • Implement quality assurance procedures to ensure that work meets established standards and specifications.
  • Manage project risks and address any issues or changes in scope promptly.

3. Project Completion:

  • Conduct final inspections to ensure all project deliverables meet quality and contractual obligations.
  • Oversee the completion of all necessary documentation, including as-built drawings and compliance certificates.
  • Facilitate project handover to the client, ensuring all requirements are fulfilled and that the client is satisfied with the completed work.

4. Team Leadership & Relationship Building:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage project team members, including site supervisors, engineers, and administrative staff. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their needs and concerns throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Communicate effectively with all parties involved, ensuring transparency and clarity regarding project goals, progress, and changes.
  • Encourage a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting teamwork and professional growth.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to review project status, address concerns, and set priorities.
  • Represent the company at meetings, site visits, and industry events, promoting a positive image and fostering new business opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred but not mandatory.
  • 5+ years of experience in construction project management, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and building codes. OSHA 10 certification required (OSHA 30 preferred).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
