Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the Financial Accounting Manager, the incumbent will be tasked with the preparation of financial statements, which includes but is not limited to the following duties:

1. Adhere to all Gaming Commission Regulations and departmental policies.
2. Prepare journal entries for the General Ledger.
3. Conduct bank reconciliations.
4. Perform detailed account analyses.
5. Analyze departmental results and budget variances.
6. Assist in maintaining the General Ledger system and related reports.
7. Support the management of the Fixed Asset accounting system.

Additionally, the role requires a commitment to responsible gaming and alcohol service, with a duty to report any concerns to management.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required, along with one to three years of relevant accounting experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Familiarity with hotel and casino operations is preferred. Basic mathematical skills are necessary.


Work Environment:

In this role, the employee will frequently stand, walk, and use hands for various tasks. The ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds is required. Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, as well as depth perception.

The work environment is dynamic, often busy and noisy, typical of a casino setting. Employees may encounter environmental factors such as second-hand smoke and high noise levels.

Effective communication with guests in English is crucial for fulfilling the responsibilities of this position.


Closing:

The Tribal Council prioritizes Native Americans in all employment practices. First preference is given to members of the Seminole Tribe who meet job qualifications, followed by members of other federally recognized Native American Tribes.

As part of the employment process, final candidates will undergo a background check to obtain gaming licensure.
