Physical Therapist Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at Asheboro Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. As a PTA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, adhering to state practice guidelines.
- Assist in identifying patients who require rehabilitation services and refer them to our team accordingly.
- Document patient progress and participation in a timely and accurate manner, obtaining the co-signature of the Physical Therapist.
- Ensure that medical orders are obtained for treatments, recertifications, and discharges.
- Assist with other documentation requirements as indicated and according to state guidelines.
- Attend facility and rehabilitation meetings as directed by your supervisor.
- Act as a rehabilitation delegate to the interdisciplinary team.
- Participate in scheduling patients as needed.
- Complete billing and bill patients ethically and accurately for physical therapy services rendered.
- Cover other therapists' patient caseload during their absence as necessary.
- Supervise junior PTA staff members or students as needed.
- Maintain professional relationships with coworkers, facility staff, patients, and patient families.
- Provide in-service education regarding patient care or physical therapy services to rehabilitation staff, facility staff, hospitals, and/or community as needed.
- Comply with all facility safety policies and procedures.
- Comply with patient confidentiality and Federal Resident Rights.
- Report to work on time, adhere to scheduled hours, and project a professional image at all times.
- Adhere to productivity requirements.
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by demonstrating and communicating in a professional manner to foster positive relations with customers, clients, coworkers, and managers.
- Perform all other duties assigned by the department supervisor, lead therapist, or regional manager.
- Comply with all facility policies regarding lunch, overtime, sick leave, and time off notification.
- Adhere to any and all other facility written and oral policies and procedures.
- Graduate of an accredited university with a Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Physical Therapy recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
- Holds a current license and/or registration in the state.
