About the Role

The Wastewater Treatment Specialist is a key member of our operations team, responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective treatment of wastewater at our facilities. This role requires a strong understanding of wastewater treatment processes and a commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain wastewater treatment equipment, including pumps, filters, and chemical treatment systems.
  • Conduct regular inspections and testing to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and optimal treatment performance.
  • Assist with the collection and analysis of wastewater samples, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Participate in routine maintenance and repair of equipment, and perform tasks such as cleaning and lubricating moving parts.
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve operational goals and objectives.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance treatment efficiency and reduce costs.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in wastewater treatment operations, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of wastewater treatment processes and regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Physical ability to lift, push, and pull heavy equipment and materials.
