This position involves assisting in the supervision of college Public Safety Officers, enforcing laws and regulations, and providing emergency response protocols. To be successful, you must possess strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to generate cooperation from subordinates, and maintain calm and order during emergencies.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in evaluating officer responses, designate assignments, direct needed resources, and interpret laws and department policies.
  • Orient and train officers, conduct pre-shift briefings, review reports, and provide input on operational planning.
  • Perform as a Field Training Officer, mentor, coach, and train newly hired officers.
  • Provide on-site supervision, prepare officers for events, complete documentation, and counsel employees.
  • Engage with students in crisis, coordinate resources, and work with Student Services.
  • Conduct security patrols, apply for a Special Police Commission, and maintain certifications.

We offer an estimated salary range of $23-$30 per hour, depending on experience. This position is considered essential and may require working during emergencies or inclement weather.
