Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Public Space Administrator to join our team at SP+.

About the Role:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service to parkers and visitors, ensuring a positive experience.
  • Issue citations and warnings for non-compliance with parking regulations, using a computerized handheld device or manual tickets.
  • Work independently, exercising sound judgment and diplomacy when interacting with others.
  • Collaborate with maintenance staff on tasks related to parking equipment and facility upkeep, including inspecting lots, painting, cleaning, and repairing meters and machines.
  • Manage the collection and security of monies from parking meters, multi-space machines, pay-on-foot technology, and other revenue streams.
  • Support event staff during events, setting up traffic control, collecting payment, and overseeing lot usage.
  • Assist office staff with permit sales during peak seasons, handling data entry, mailings, and customer service.

Requirements:

  • A valid state-issued driver's license with a current address and acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions and walk for extended periods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic knowledge of geography and safety precautions.

Salary and Benefits:

  • $19.00 per hour salary range.
  • Eligibility for benefits, including medical, dental, vision, flexible spending accounts, long/short term disability, life insurance, accident insurance, 401k, and paid time off.

Work Environment:

  • Regularly stand, walk, use hands, talk, and listen.
  • Exposed to outside weather conditions, including snowstorms and extreme heat.
