Position Overview:
The Field Sales Executive is tasked with the direct sale of new, used, and rental John Deere Construction & Forestry and Allied Products to designated accounts. This role encompasses all sales activities, from lead generation to closing deals, while fostering strong customer relationships aimed at long-term mutual growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor construction bid outcomes to uncover opportunities with current accounts and prospects.
  • Assess customer needs and recommend suitable equipment configurations to meet their technical specifications.
  • Conduct trade evaluations for new quoting opportunities.
  • Calculate pricing and prepare customer quotations.
  • Draft bid specifications that favor John Deere products for government agency bids and purchases.
  • Conduct product demonstrations for potential buyers, effectively communicating the features and benefits of our offerings.
  • Provide Operation & Maintenance training upon delivery of new equipment.
  • Participate in trade shows, conferences, and other industry networking events.
  • Maintain awareness of relevant client information, including key decision-makers and future purchasing plans.
  • Document customer interactions and opportunities in the company CRM system.
  • Assist in resolving outstanding accounts receivables or client concerns.
  • Stay informed about competitors' products and report on their pricing and marketing strategies.
  • Submit various sales reports, including activities, opportunities, and adherence to goals.
  • Keep up-to-date with JESCO products.
  • Comply with established guidelines to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Five years of proven experience in outside sales.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • High energy, self-motivated, and strong work ethic.

Physical Requirements:

Employees are expected to operate, demonstrate, and evaluate equipment, which may involve climbing and walking around machinery. The role requires driving within an assigned territory, which may account for up to 80% of the workday. Employees must also be able to travel by air for sales-related events and carry up to 50 pounds.


Certifications/Licenses:

Valid Driver's License - Candidates must meet JESCO's outside insurance underwriting requirements.
