About the Role

Cadrex is seeking a skilled Assembly Operator I to join our team in Chippewa Falls, WI. As an Assembly Operator I, you will play a critical role in assembling work-in-progress (WIP) parts to produce finished goods (FG) through various processes, including sonic welding, heat staking, gluing, inserting screws, and other assembly processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Prepare Parts: Inspect, label, mill, route, punch, sand, insert, make, and package plastic parts to meet customer and ISO standards.
  • Document Production and Scrap: Document production and scrap on daily sheets, including labels, production tags, and hourly rate sheets.
  • Report Defects and Issues: Report defects or issues to the supervisor.
  • Ensure a Safe Working Environment: Work safely at all times and comply with OSHA standards.
  • Perform Other Duties: Perform other duties and assignments as directed by the shift supervisor or management.
Requirements
  • No Prior Experience Required: No previous experience is necessary to perform the Assembly Operator duties.
  • Basic Communication Skills: Basic communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Basic Math Skills: Basic math skills.
  • Ability to Take Direction: Ability to take and retain direction well.
  • Previous Experience in Manufacturing: Previous experience in injection molding or manufacturing assemblies is preferred.
Education
  • High School Diploma: High school diploma is required.
Work Environment
  • Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to high places, fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee is frequently exposed to vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and may require hearing protection in specific locations.
Physical Demands
  • Lifting and Moving: The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Location and Schedule
  • Onsite: The job is located onsite.
  • M-T, 6am-4:30pm: The schedule is Monday to Thursday, 6am to 4:30pm.
