We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Counsel to join our Commercial Business Units team at BD. As a key member of our Global BD Law Group, you will partner with our commercial counsels to support one or more of our business units.
Key Responsibilities- Provide day-to-day legal advice to our businesses and draft and negotiate complex commercial agreements.
- Identify and resolve complex legal issues to support the commercial operations of a global leader in the medical device industry.
- Develop strong knowledge of supported BD portfolios and clients.
- Collaborate with Medical and Regulatory representatives to review and approve advertising and promotional materials.
- Maintain familiarity with laws that affect the medical device industry, including those relevant to sales and marketing of products to healthcare professionals and reimbursement by government programs.
- 8+ years of relevant law firm and/or corporate in-house law department experience.
- Hold a J.D. or L.L.M with strong academic credentials from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the California Bar, and a member in good standing, or eligible to practice as California Registered in-house counsel under California Rules of Court 9.46.
- Solid analytical and conceptual skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Superior written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
