Join Our Team as a RN Cardiac Stepdown Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Stepdown Service Unit (CSSU) at Portsmouth Regional Hospital. As a RN Cardiac Stepdown Nurse, you will provide direct nursing care to patients with cardiovascular diagnoses and procedures, including pre and post cardiac caths, pacemakers, TEEs/Cardioversions, open heart surgery, ablations, TAVRs, groin management, strokes/TIAs, traumas, sepsis, COPD, CHF, AFib exacerbations, detox and drug abuse, and general med/surg telemetry overflow and IV maintenance.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care to patients with cardiovascular diagnoses and procedures
  • Coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team
  • Work closely with the clinical team to create and implement a care plan that meets each patient's needs
