Overview

Portsmouth Regional Hospital is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Cardiac Stepdown Service Unit (CSSU). As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the delivery of exceptional healthcare services to the Seacoast region of Massachusetts, Maine, and New Hampshire.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for providing direct nursing care to patients with cardiovascular diagnoses and procedures, including pre and post cardiac caths, pacemakers, TEEs/Cardioversions, open heart surgery, ablations, TAVRs, groin management, strokes/TIAs, traumas, sepsis, COPD, CHF, AFib exacerbations, detox and drug abuse, and general med/surg telemetry overflow and IV maintenance. You will work closely with the clinical team to create and implement a care plan that meets each patient's needs. Additionally, you will monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have a Registered Nurse (RN) License in NH or a valid Compact State License, BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross), and successful completion of Basic Arrhythmia within 3 months from hire. You will also be required to complete NIH Stroke Scale within 45 days of hire.
